“This wholesome bread is so beautiful to look at and so satisfying to eat that our guests are doubly delighted when they find out it is such a healthy bread as well! We invert it onto an early American round pine serving platter and let it make a mouth-watering centerpiece for any breakfast spread.” –The Wildwood Inn, Ware, Massachusetts
2 cups whole-wheat flour
1 cup unbleached flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups buttermilk
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup dark molasses
1-1/4 cups raisins
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease and flour a Bundt pan (even if it’s nonstick). Mix all the ingredients together, blending well, and then pour into pan. Turn the oven down to 350 degrees F and bake for about 45-60 minutes, testing to see if toothpick comes out clean and bread leaves pan sides easily.
