This dish is a sure hit for pot-lucks, picnics, and celebrations . . . easy to put together, and you won’t have to bring home leftovers!
1 pound hamburger
1 small onion, diced
1/4 to 1/2 pound bulk sausage
1 16-ounce can pork and beans
1 16-ounce can Butter beans
1 16-ounce can Kidney or Navy beans (if using kidney, drain before using)
1/2 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vinegar
Brown hamburger, onion, and sausage. Drain fat. Add beans. In separate bowl, mix ketchup, dry mustard, brown sugar, salt, and vinegar. Add to bean mixture. Pour into casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Add water or decrease heat to 325 degrees if juice bakes down.
