A luxurious dish for a fancy gathering. –The Four Chimney’s Inn, Nanatucket, Massachusetts
Ingredients
6 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
1/2 cup butter, very soft
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1 teaspoon lemon juice
Salt
White pepper
1/2 cup sour cream
1 to 2 spoonfuls each of red and black caviar
Instructions
Combine all but last 2 ingredients and mix well. Line a bowl with plastic wrap and pack mixture firmly into bowl. Chill overnight. Then unmold onto a plate, frost with sour cream, and decorate with caviar. Serve with party rye.
