Chocolate chip drops
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 tsp. Vanilla
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Baking soda
1 egg
2 squares unswetened chocolate, melted
Chocolate butter cream frosting (below)
1 cup pecan halves
Chocolate Butter-cream frosting
In small bowl with mixer at medium speed, heat together 1 1/2 cups shifted
confectioners’ sugar,1’4 cup butter or margarine, softened and 1/8 tsp. Salt
until light and fluffy.Add 1 1 /2 squares unsweatened chocolate, melted. 1
to 2 teaspoons milkand 1 teaspoon vanilla,beating until well blended.
Preheat oven to 400. Into large bowl,measure all ingredients except frosting
and pecans; with mixer at low speed,beat just until blended,scraping bowl
constantly with rubber spatular. Icrease mixer speed to medium;beat 3
minutes, scraping bowl Occasionally, until well blended.
Drop batter by heaping teaspoonsfuls onto cookie sheets,about 1 inch apart.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes until cookies are puffy and slightly cracked on top.
Cool.
Top cookies with frosting;garnish with pecans.
