I was scrambling for something easy one night with a mix of ingredients and this resulted. Was tasty and have made it again since and it turned out better.
1 box Jiffy cornbread mix
1 pound (or a little less) browned ground beef
1/2 jar salsa
dash chili powder
crushed red pepper
grated cheese
Mix up cornbread batter and pour into 8X8 pan. Top with ground beef, sprinkle with chili powder, add crushed red peppers to taste and spoon salsa over burger. Top with cheese. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
You can also mix ingredients into the batter.
Also easy to add small amounts of leftovers, use sausage, etc.
