My mom made these for us at Christmas when we were growing up. Can use any candied fruit if you like.
2-1/2 cups flour
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon brandy extract
3/4 cup candied fruit mix
1/4 cup chopped pecans
Mix flour, sugar, butter, egg, baking powder, and brandy extract in large bowl at medium speed for 2-3 minutes. Stir in candied fruit, shape in rounded balls 1 inch thick. Place on ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart. Flatten to 1/4-inch thick, bake at 350 degrees for 12-14 minutes.
