1/2 cup currants or golden raisins
1/2 cup Grand Marnier
1 can (12 ounces) apricot nectar
2 cups apple cider
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 stick cinnamon
6 whole cloves
1 unpeeled orange, sliced thin
Soak currants or raisins overnight in Grand Marnier. Combine apricot nectar, cider, sugar, and spices. Bring to a boil on top of the stove and simmer, covered, for 1 hour. Add orange slices, currants, and Grand Marnier. Cover and simmer slowly for at least half an hour. Remove spices and serve hot.
