I saw this recipe in a cook book. I liked it and it is very easy to fix.
1 lb round steak
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp cooking oil
2 green peppers, cut in strips
1 onion, thinly sliced
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp. cornstarch
Cut steak into strips. In bowl combine soy sauce, ginger, sugar and garlic; add meat; toss lightly to coat. Cover and refrigerate 3 to 4 hours.
Drain; discard the marinade. In skillet stir fry the meat in oil 5 to 6 minutes or til no longer pink. Add pepper strips and onions; stir fry 3 to 4 minutes. Combine water and cornstarch, mix well. Add to meat and vegetable mixture, stir fry 2 to 3 minutes or til thickened. Serve with hot cooked rice.
