The tartness of the lemons and sweetness of the berries will determine the amount of sugar for this refreshing sweet-sour drink.
Juice of 2 lemons
1 pint strawberries or raspberries
1/2 cup sugar, more or less to taste
5 cups cold water
Strain lemon juice. Mash berries and press through a sieve. Combine lemon and berry juice and stir in sugar to taste. Pour into pitcher with cold water, add plenty of ice, and head for the Piazza.
