An Easter Outfit

I am saddened by the fact that this is my last post here at The Crafty Yankee. I will be handing over the reins to a new crafter next week, and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us! This change comes about for the very best of reasons: my husband and I are welcoming our second child soon, which means we will have two under the age of two. I have a feeling I won’t be doing much crafting for a while!
It seems appropriate to end my time here with an Easter craft that I made for my son. There is no better way for a parent to embarrass their child than by taking photos such as these, and pulling them out in about 15 years to show to their teenage friends. 
For a fun, and silly Easter shoot, I recommend whipping up a pair of felt bunny ears, and a bushy pom-pom tail. For the ears, you simply need: hot glue, white felt, pink felt and velcro. As for the tail: white or cream colored yarn, and scissors.
Ears: Cut out two white ears, and two pink ear linings (slightly smaller than the ear). Hot glue the pink to the white. Now, fold the bottom of the ear to create a little ledge, which you will glue to a headband (make sure to measure so that it fits around your little ones head. Glue on both ears. Take a small bit of velcro, and hot glue to each end of the headband.
Tail: Wrap yarn around four fingers (excluding thumb) several
dozen times, until you have a thick loop of yarn. Tie off the loop in the middle with a
short piece of yarn. Using scissors, cut through each loop on both sides, so that all of the
ends are loose. Once cut, you may need to trim your pom-pom so that all of the ends are
even. I used a safety pin to attach the tail to my baby’s cloth diaper cover!I have loved my time here as The Crafty Yankee…thanks for crafting along with me, and enjoy this beautiful spring we are having here in New England!
