On this episode of Weekends with Yankee, we meet up with cohost Richard Wiese in Bartlett, New Hampshire, for an icy climb up Cathedral Ledge. It’s cold and it’s tough, but those who make it to the top are rewarded with views across the Saco River Valley to the White Mountains. Then we head south to Brookline, New Hampshire, to visit New England’s largest outdoor sculpture park: the Andres Institute of Art. Founded in 1996, the park is spread across 140 acres and showcases more than 80 works of art designed to withstand the elements. Finally, cohost Amy Traverso joins famed author and humorist John Hodgman in his hometown of Brookline, Massachusetts, to talk about his new book, Medallion Status, growing up in Boston, and living part of the year on Maine’s “uncomfortable beaches.”
