1 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs and beat. Add vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients and stir into sugar mixture. Stir in nuts. Shape into half-inch- long rolls and wrap in waxed paper. Refrigerate overnight. Slice thinly and bake at 350 degrees F for 8 to 10 minutes. Great for lunch boxes!
