1/2 cup molasses
1/2 pound brown sugar
1 quart half-and-half
2 cups milk
1/4 pound butter
1/2 tablespoon ground ginger
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1-1/4 cups cornmeal
Put molasses, sugar, dairy products, and spices into the top of a double-boiler. When butter has finished melting, add cornmeal. Cook 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
